It depends. I only like mash if there is no lumps and it is with gravy, but I always like baked potatos -- especially with chilli! So it would depend on what they were with.

Lacks milk and possibly butter that way.

Garlic mashed potatoes are amazing. They bring happiness and joy to this world.
Baked is probably my least favorite way to eat a potato (although it's still very good that way).

I prefer mashed. No particular reason though. I like potatoes just about any way you can prepare them, just I, being southern, prefer them mashed. I can make some killer mashed potatoes.
