OOC: Happy peanut swirls, over chocolate covered mountaintops and water falls of Caramel! Happy nugget in the meadow sings a song of satisfaction to the world...
The world.
When singing the above song I pronounce it the first way, all other times the second.
There's an extra a in there for a reason, folks.
"I work in one of those humble call centres... Apparently, what we're doing at the moment is 'sprinkling our magic along the way'. It's a call centre, not Hogwarts." ~ Caroline Garlick, Ayrshire, BBC News Magazine
Depends on my mood.
Caramel....silent h I guess. But definitely the first way in the pollalso LOL @ Levian
the correct pronunciation would be more like care-uh-mel. not car-uh-mel. first syllable rhymes with air, not bar. and yes, there's an extra a in there for a reason: because there are THREE syllables in the word. thus car-mel is wrong.
Yeah, care-a-mel is how I really pronounce it. Basically, it's a difference between 2 or 3 syllables. 3 is correct!
It depends how much of the stuff I've got in my mouth. Sometimes cah-rah-mel is just inefficient.
Taking extra effort to pronounce words is not the American way.
I've always pronounced it 'Care-ah-mell' myself.
Yep both, whatever fits my mood ^_^
