I have three or four. I open a lot in the beginning when I first open my browser, but that's to read comics and to check my email. After that I have, TDF, EoFF, #eoff, and then one other tab based on my mood. If I'm on wikipedia and I'm fishing, I can have anywhere from 6 to 20 tabs.

I have a problem with eoff. When checking a section i just make new tabs on teh thread links then i read it and hit the index once done then move to the next tab before it loads. I usually end up with several tabs on the index. Like right now, I have 7 tabs open. 6 are eoff. 3 of those are on the index. OOPS.

I just open every new thread and close them when I post. Easy peasy.

I have at least four open at work. Work email, personal email, 1-3 tabs of our internal administration system and at least one tab of our webapp that we're developing (but sometimes upwards of 6-7 depending on task). I also have youtube open a lot playing music. Rainymood too, right now. When I check EoFF I open my new posts bookmark and open all the threads I'm interested in in tabs, and close them as I go.

I have 9 right now. Twitter and Facebook are usual constants. I have two GameFaqs tabs open right now that have been open for a couple weeks or so while I play that particular game. A recent constant has been Dinosaur Comics, I've been reading a couple every now and then.

Typically, in the morning I will read through twitter and open a bunch of news/blog/technical paper links and then read them over the next couple hours or whatever, so I have like around 20 tabs open for a little while. If I don't read a particular item but want to later, it'll stay open for another few days.

I'm limited in my maximum tab capacity only by virtue of having a netbook. I cannot abide superfluous tabs, however. It annoys me more than any other stupid computer habit.

Yeah, like many of you I have the most tabs open when I'm here at Effoff checking new posts. I'll open all the ones I'm interested in and new tabs and close them as I go. Depending on how many new posts there are, that can add up to a lot of tabs.

It depends on what I'm doing. During "normal" browsing I'll have maybe 2-4 tabs open, but when I check places like EoFF I just open every thread in a new tab and close them as I finish.

Right now I have six tabs open, which is probably about average. I browse EoFF by opening every thread I want to read in its own tab.

I don't have too many open, usually 1 to 3. Facebook, and two others to pass the time while nothing is happening on FB. :P

It differs, but usually somewhere between 1 and 10. At work I tend to have two different browsers open with several tabs as well.
