Eyes on Final Fantasy Steam group

I was having a look at everyone's profiles in the new group and quickly noticed that every member, as of a few days ago anyway, has L4D2 so I'll probably start there. Expect an announcement of when it will be in a few days once I nail down what day would work best for me to host the thing next week/get my mic working.

Does this sad face mean no L4D2 for you Quin? I will make time to play something else with you if that's the case because I don't want you to be left out.

Been putting some hours into Dota 2, it F2P (kinda, i think it's in beta right now).

There will be more than one event guys. I'm unemployed so I have lot's of time to spare.

Dota would be great, but some may have to wait a while for the beta invite. But it's well integrated into Steam as far as getting your friends together for party games and closed custom games.

I'm also gonna put out there that I'm willing to spend a few bucks to get an easy game for all of us to play, but definitely not no $20 especially not for no zombie game.

I have DoTA2 and would play with others. also have friends that play. I have L4D2 as well.

Also implying that finding DotA2 invites will be hard. Mr Shauna knows places that people are just giving them away. I wonder if they'll actually ever make any money on the game.

It's going to be F2P and supported with the same sort of item buying as TF2 has right now. It's just not "officially" released yet so you still need either an invite, or to buy one of their promotional packs.

I wasn't aware it was gonna be F2P in the end. :3 Either way, I was just amused at the concept of having to wait for an invite. My friend has about 7 invites, since they just keep sending him more, despite him not being able to shift the last batch. Also Mr Shauna frequents a lot of TF2 trading sites where the invites are practically being given away, since everyone seems to have the same problem.

Basically, if DotA is going to be an option for EoFF gaming nights, it won't be too difficult to get everyone interested an invite. :3

EDIT: heh, another friend of mine has just posted on fb about how he has eleven DotA 2 invites. xD
