Since early last year, I have quadrupled my post count from eleven years prior.
I've been a bit more inconsistent this year than in the previous few years. There will be periods where I post a ton almost every day (maybe 10-20 posts/day), but then others where I confine myself mostly to Staff and the General forums (maybe 1-5 posts/day). It doesn't really take all that much time to post a lot -- just motivation and energy.
Most of my post count was from the first 3.5 years of my registration, then around the end of 2009 I dropped off for about 6 months, then I posted half a dozen times in 2010, and then disappeared entirely for 2 years. Then made another half dozen posts in the first half of 2012 and was gone for another year. But as of last month, I'm back and attempting to regain the activity I had in my early years, both here and in chat.
I was actually top poster for a brief while back in early January I think, but since then, I've really cut down on my activity quite substantially. To be honest, I don't really think about it so much. Though I am impressed with those people who post bucket loads every month.Originally Posted by shion

Being the most active member of this forum is an incredibly hard title to keep up, and you must all see me struggling however subtle, but for me, it's just a matter of pride. I must keep going, I must endure. Rain or shine I am here, posting to you people on The Eyes On Final Fantasy Forums Experience, and I will continue to do so until the day I die in order to uphold my title. Nobody will ever surpass me, no, of course not, but it's a good goal for all of you to have, it encourages you, it makes you better people, it teaches you stamina and many other talents.
The fact that I do this for all of you, it warms my heart and, if you don't mind me saying, I know maybe you could be jealous of me being the top poster but seriously, don't fret. In fact don't even count me as the top poster, just count me as part of the furniture, you know, just, "There's Alive-Man there, posting, top poster, but let's not worry about that, that's just his thing."
I was sitting at sub-1000 posts myself until three years back or so. I was mostly a chatter and not a forumer, although that has done a bit of a 180 over the last couple of years.
I am the Top posters for a week or 2 now. But you just dun get appreciated around here anymore

I like it when Christmas bumps random threads because it's interesting to see how I've changed (or stayed the same) over time when I see my earlier posts.
