My favorite class is the Paravir, from Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift.
The Paravir is the Samurai class of FFTA2. Translated as "Yojimbo" in the Japanese and Spanish versions (likely changed so as to avoid comparison with the Aeon or previous foes from the series), the job name refers to a Samurai or Ronin who has been hired as a bodyguard.
The Paravir has been designed as a new glass cannon for the Humes. It's one of the faster classes, and has the highest physical attack growth available for Hume units. It's abilities have been redesigned as boosted physical attacks, as opposed to the magical basis of FFT's original Samurai.
In terms of abilities, Paravir wield some of the most deadly on the battlefield. They possess four elemental attacks, each of which do base weapon damage times two as elemental damage, which gives them huge damage dealing potential to a wide variety of foes weak to particular elements. In addition, each of these moves have a chance of inflicting status ailments.
Plus, it's worth mentioning that Paravir can wield most of my favorite elements (all but Holy), wielding Frost, Lightning, and Darkness. They also get access to a ranged ability, some great supports, and Iai Blow, which has a chance at instantly killing their foe.
So, in short, they have a stat and ability setup that is pretty much custom tailored to make me happy, and are based around a really neat style and concept from Japanese history. Thus, they are my favorite class in the series, pushing aside my other top picks such as Blue Mage, Seer, or Assassin.
