Windows is probably still the best operating system out there. The only problem is is that it is extremely complicated, and unless you know what you are doing, there's really no point to it. Bill Gates thought everyone would be able to utilize it as he does, but nope, that was a sore misjudgement.

and the classic
I like that picture a lot!
EDIT: But it wouldn't work anyway...

India has the idea:
"The New York Times reports that the communist government in the Indian state of Kerala is trying to remove Microsoft from its public institutions, as part of a campaign against monopolistic corporations. From the article: 'schools and public offices across the state are being encouraged to install free software systems instead of purchasing Microsoft's Windows programs. "It is well-known that Microsoft wants to have a monopoly in the field of computer technology. Naturally, being a democratic and progressive government, we want to encourage the spread of free software," M. A. Baby, the state's education minister, said by telephone.' The government is not banning Microsoft, but it is actively encouraging all 12,500 public schools in the state to install Linux."
Get a mac![]()
Frankly, I'm with Mirage on this. My Windows XP has given me no problems whatsoever. I've had it for almost a year now and use it frequently, yet it's never crashed or given me any major computer-pukes even once.
Though, I am quite fond of Macs.
My dad is in the electrical engineering field, and they've set up some systems on Unix, and specialized versions of Linux.
It annoys me when my PC just freezes, and Im like WHY HAVE YOU FROZE? WHY?
But Microsoft works, thats all Im bothered about
Windows is unAmerican.
America's tagline for forever has been "lol diversity!" a "cultural melting pot" (how many history students are sick of that tired phrase?) so it should be against US law to have above a certain % of computers on US soil running the same operating system.
the rest of the world can just use linux and wait for us to catch up~
That being said, I want to get a mac laptop for school and do some triadbooting.
