Technically, they're not sequels like VII Compliation or X / X-2. They just happen to share mythos and a name (I think), and other than that are completely independant from each other. From what I understand so far, they could easily be released as XIII, XIV etc, if they wanted a mobile game (XIII Agito) being called something like FF XV
