My parents smurfed, and I came out. My parents still smurf, because that's what people do. If I were to think that was 'unpleasant' then I'd consider myself quite immature. The whole step parent thing is different I'm sure. Well, that is to say I don't know anything about it. So my opinion is geared towards biological parents.
IF YOU FIND IT UNPLEASANT, AND ARE REALLY UPSET ABOUT IT, smurfing go outside for a half hour, and hang out.
The night is more beautiful than the day anyways.
