sounds like an interesting movie, but house of flying daggers, and possibly crouching tiger, hidden dragon (without the gay ending) were the best foreign films ive seen
    Oh gods, why? ಥ_ಥ

I might make stu put this on his netflix if it's available.

I've watched quite a few foreign films. Amélie, Manon de la Source (and the prequel to it that I can't htink of the name of), Le Chateaux de ma Mère, one really weird one where there were people who ate turtle soup in the shell, Le Dîner des Côns(which was pretty funny in parts), some movie about a mama's boy who she promises can live with her and her husband forever and then she just can't get him out of the house when he's an adult (very good, wish I remembered the name xD), a film about women in Algeria(this one was pretty depressing), a couple of random japanese films(besides animés) Infection and The Princess Blade, and Don Quixote (in spanish xD)

You must be thinking of a different Old Boy. The one I refer to is from South Korea and is completely kickass. Anyone who thinks otherwise isn't thinking, and so isn't Human, and so can look forward to a lifetime of hard labor in the jelly mines.

Also The Fifth Element god yes <33

Same Old Boy. I'd say it's worth seeing for the hallway fight scene. Rest is pretty contrived.

On topic with The Fifth Element, all of Luc Besson's films are amazing... Well, when he writes AND directs.

Same here. Looked good, cba. Maybe that's why I never end up seeing any good movies.

THAT'S the movie I've been meaning to see! It's the same director who did Eternal Sunshine. Maybe it's on Hulu.

You guys are missing out then. It's such a charming little movie. Stéphane is the most adorable protagonist in any movie ever and I want to live in the cozy little urban village that his apartment is in.

Wow that was a feminine post.

My favourites are Oldboy, Julietta, Abre Los Ojos, City of God and Love in thoughts.

I want to see Run Lola Run, JSA and Shutter.
