uber moves

The "uber moves" are mainly for fun. I've never had any go off unless I reduced an enemy's speed to 1 (with Speed Break) and even than, the amount of damage isn't high enough to make it worth it.

Some good looking abilities though.

This is why Calculators are the uberest characters in the game. :P They can cast any spell from anywhere on the map (as long as the Math skills line up correctly) immediately for no MP cost. :P

Yeah but they can't use summons or cast Meteor. Which are some of the uber spells I think the thread starter is talking about. You also forget that the Calculator class has some serious pitfalls that makes just getting the basics for the class a tedious endeavor...

I rarely get anyone to that class except for Ramza whom I usually master every job with. Their skill set and mechanics are undeniably awesome but we are talking about the class that not only has the slowest speed of anything in the game but the lowest HP. Even with lv. 99 Ramza it was difficult to keep him alive as a Calculator. I don't even want to think about one of the other party members going through that hell.

It's good to get it done early and switch back to a mage class. :P IT's not so much a Calculator that's amazing, it's a Black Mage with full Math skills. :P

yeah, calculators are great, and without them, any mage class is really pretty useless by the end (in the sense that you can just kill anything in one shot with a physical person rather than waiting for the cast time)
