No, he's right. Bungie recently announced Mythic difficulty is legendary with all skulls. If you play co-op, you're not allowed to have deaths at the end for it to count. Anyone who can do it gets recon.
I'm not even going to try. Before my Xbox got trashed, I was running through with just the iron skull on legendary. That alone is harder than the legendary run I completed with seven or eight different skulls. Snipers are the bane of your existence. If it gets even your little toe, you're a dead Spartan.
