I agree. I feel like the story was very overdramatic and that the North American localization had some dialogue issues. To me, it felt like a lot of the villains were speaking very philosophically to gloss over the issue that they weren't saying too much and that the conversation was basically one-dimensional much like a lot of the villains themselves.
