Given how much closure the first movie has, any sequel is unecessary anyway.
As for 2001, read the book if you want answers. The movie adaptation is more about questions.

The last two movies I watched were Run, Fatboy, Run and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn. The former was funnier than hell, and I had never seen the latter all the way through, though I knew what happened in it.
KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHN!!!!!
Clash of the Titans (2010)
Not terrible but not very good either, and certainly does not do the original justice.
3/5
I actually really enjoyed S.Darko. Its not Donny. But it struck a lot of the right notes for me. But you probably have to be in the right mindset. I think a lot of people who hate it didn't want a sequel and were looking to hate it from the onset. Yeah, Donnie tied everything up. But its not trying to go back and answer questions or anything
Hot Tub Time Machine
This movie was so funny. Completely crazy but funny. I love the black guy so much.
Afterlife
6/10
Mmm, well, so many things to say. First of all, this is a thriller and like most thrillers it will leave you going, "Wait...what." It's one of those psychological thrillers with subtley and moments where you don't really know what's real and what's fiction. However, even with that, you could still probably guess in the beginning of the movie what was going on before it even got to that point. I'm starting to notice a trend of psychological thrillers that I've also noticed with films like Shutter Island, is that they give TOO much away.
Basically, they hint too much. It seems that in today's cinema there's no The Sixth Sense nor is there a Psycho. There were also lots of awkward mistakes, but the oddest were the plot holes that's some how okay in today's cinema because it's a thriller. No, you don't need everything explained to you point blank, but logistics are a must. I felt like this was trying too hard to confuse people and have it go around in circles and the whole time I was sitting there frustrated because I knew damn well WHAT THE DEAL WAS. And the deal is...no, you have to go see it.
I can't promise that you'll like the movie and it's gratuitious use of nudity -- no it's not sexy because Christina Ricci is a creepy bish and so is that little demented kid. However, I can promise that you will have moments where you think one thing is one way and then it automatically changes and will keep changing throughout the remainder of the film, but just pay close attention and you'll get it unless you're retarded. Bottom line: Good edge of your seat thriller, but by no means as good as The Sixth Sense or the original Psycho.
I saw three of the strangest movies the past couple days.
Four Rooms
One of Quinton Taratino's older movies. Mind you, I'm not really a fan of his movies, but this one is amazing. It's about a bellhop who has 4 different rooms to deal with on New years, and he is the only one working.
He deals with a coven of witches, a crazy guy with a gun, two misbehaving kids, and a movie star. The movie is just flat out hilarious, with one of the most satisfying ending's I've seen for a while. This is one of Taratino's only two movies I enjoy, the other being inglorios Bastards. If you are into darker kinds of humour, you'll get a massive kick out of this movie.
Pootie Tang
...This is just freaking hilarious. It's crazy, over the top, and at times cheesy as hell. definately not for anyone, but I loved every moment of it.
Frankenhooker
Iyou not this is a real movie. A guy's girlfriend is killed by a runaway lawnmower and he brings her back to life using the body parts of hookers, and it was glorious.
Definately a bit twisted in it's humour at times, but damn it's another one that had me laughing the entire way through it.
Dr. Strangelove
I guess it was pretty amusing. And like most of Kubricks movies it has that timeless feel about it that still makes it understandable for people that didn't live in that particular time period.
This twenty-year-old boy was distinguished from childhood by strange qualities, a dreamer and an eccentric. A girl fell in love with him, and he went and sold her to a brothel...
Date Movie
There was one really funny part, and other than that it was alright. Good plot for such a movie and lots of surprisingly good supporting parts played by random bigger names.
Reservoir Dogs
A brilliant movie, probably my favorite Tarantino film to date.
Man I haven't watched that movie in years but lord was it funny.
Recently watched Death at a Funeral which is a British comedy that's getting an American remake in another week. Very good movie which the remake will have a difficult time living up to. Sure the main plot twist is a bit predictable but it doesn't make the movie any less funny when its revealed. Its a great character piece with a handful of different scenario's all happening at once.![]()
True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
I went to see Kick-ass earlier today. It was pretty funny but more violent than I expected.![]()
I would give it like 7 or 8 out of 10.
♥
i have checked it’s really great
