had a 'classic disney marathon' tonight.
they already played 2 on the tv, Pocahontas and Belle and the Beast..
but after that The Polar Express was on tv and i didnt wanna watch that..
so ive put The lion king 1 and 2 in the dvd-player ^^

    Pocahontas is a great movie.
I had some scenes in my head with Belle and the Beast, but those didnt show :o
i can vaguely remember a scene where Belle goes out to get an xmas tree. and a scene where she writes/packs a xmas present (a book) for the The Beast.. with a beautiful song. are those deleted scenes or is there a Belle and the beast 2?

Lion king 10/10 (for both of them)
This movie really made my childhood, and its still my favorite movie ever!
its a movie i could watch everyday and still enjoy it!!

If Walt Disney could see what they make these days he would turn around in his grave.

You're thinking of Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. You can watch it on YouTube, if you're interested.

Hooooly crap I forgot all about that Beauty and the Beast Christmas movie.

Anyways, I went to see the new Sherlock Holmes movie. I LOVED it at least as much as the first. Super fun storyline, great ending. My only gripe is that the second half of the movie may have gone a little bit overboard with weird Matrix bullet time effects and it started to get cheesy. Other than that, though, it was great. 9/10 for sure.

    Atlas Shrugged: Part 1

Movie adaptation of the book. Never read the book, but I can already tell you it's better than the movie. But I was pretty much expecting BioShock without the underwater city and plasmids.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

Overall, I think the movie was great. A very solid movie with a smart storyline, nice visuals and editing, but I think they did get a little bullet time happy as well towards the end. Holmes and Watson is one of the best duos I've seen in a long time. I love watching their antics.

    Another Earth

Interesting sci-fi about a counter-earth appearing within view of our earth. It was a bit chick-flicky towards the end, but overall it was a great movie.

I watched Chalet Girl and Black Swan (again) over the christmas period.

Black Swan is just amazing, it's not my normal type of movie but the execution of the movie and it's stunning performances by Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis in particular make it one of those must see movies. Complete head smurfer though.

Chalet Girl is pretty much a chick flick in the sense that it's a romantic comedy with a happy ending but much like Forgetting Sarah Marshall it has something about it what makes it watchable for me. The story was ok and there was enough genuinely funny moments to make it an entertaining watch.

The last movie I've recently watched was the A-Team.

I'll give it an 8/10 Good action scenes, and I enjoyed how it's relevant to current events. I hope there will be a sequel in the future.

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

    Tucker and Dale vs. Evil

Comedy about a couple of hillbillies mistaken for backwoods murderers by a group of camping college students. The students spend the movie trying to rescue their friend who was "kidnapped" by Tucker and Dale, the hillbillies, after she fell and hit her head, and inadvertently begin killing themselves trying to save her. The hillbillies think the kids are part of a suicide pact and the kids think the hillbillies are killing them off one by one. Pretty hilarious.

    7/10

    Jackass 3

Chris Pontius playing baseball with his dick, Steve-O being slingshotted into the air inside of a brimming port-a-potty, Knoxville getting hit by yet another bull. The usual.

I disagree, it was also the last movie I saw and I didn't like it much at all. Maybe I'm being too overly critical...
I just didn't get the same amount of awesome from it at all, and found it boring compared to the first. Not to mention the just holy crap overkill with the slow-mo. DO YOU NEED 10 BITS OF SLOW-MO IN A 20 SECOND SCENE?

The movie I watched previous to it was a classic crappy low budget horror "Gravedancers" fully equipped with bad actors, crappy plot, and hilarious everything. It was actually really good for the first 60% of it... but then it went downhill into the funniest thing I've seen in ages. blehThe piano playing girl starts flying around like marry poppins, and as the last 2 survivors try to escape she turns into a giant floating skull and chases after their hummer... cant beat that
    Eyyyyyyyyyyyyy
