I need more Masuka/Batista time!

I don't know how I feel about this. I'm tired of Deb's descent, but moreso how heavily story arcs seem to lean on Deb's romantic life. (SPOILER)Her fiance is the Ice Truck Killer, who Dexter kills after Deb is kidnapped, then Lundy leaves, then her boyfriend Anton gets kidnapped and tortured, then she gets back with Lundy (yay!) only to have him be shot and killed, then she has a relationship with Quinn that peters out, then she can't handle her promotion (which only really comes about by her being used as a political pawn), and then she decides she's in love with Dexter, then Dexter's girlfriend kills Deb's boyfriend, then Deb does a bunch of stuff to protect Dexter (like kill La Guerta), then on the first episode of the last season, Dexter once again turns up and murders Deb's lover.
