I watched it a long time ago, and I remember enjoying it. I thought Tarantino was hilarious as well.

Fun fact, I just went on Wikipedia to remind myself of the plot and discovered a tv series is being made. I'm not convinced it's going to be any good looking at the cast, particularly when it's headlined by Robert Patrick who tends to be included for his so-called 'star power' for crappy movies and TV shows. It also includes Don Johnson of Miami Vice and Nash Bridges fame in the 80's, the guy who hosted that 'Yo Momma' thing a few years back on MTV, some dude who had a part in the G.I Joe movie who now plays Seth Gecko and the guy who plays his brother Richie hasn't done much of note in his career so far. That doesn't fill me with confidence.

It seems to me that he likes throwing one of these out every so often and the B movie feel is on purpose. This film, Planet Terror, Machete, etc.

I like it because if he tried to turn this film into a serious thing, it would flop. Same with Planet Terror; these were both great because they didn't take themselves seriously. Can't say I have an interest in seeing Machete, but it's probably along the same.

It's a really good movie if you take it with a pinch of salt.

It's always been one of those movies I intend to get around to watching, yet never do.

All I have to do is read the synopses for the sequels to know how much they'll suck compared to this movie. The one part of this film I did not like was the ending when I thought that George Clooney should be a "f-ing asshole". I mean, he says he's not and then he just abandons that chick in the middle of nowhere. Sure, she's got a car, but does she really know where she's going?
    Jack: How do you know?

Will: It's more of a feeling really.

Jack: Well, that's not scientific. Feeling isn't knowing. Feeling is believing. If you believe it, you can't know because there's no knowing what you believe. Then again, no one should believe what they know either. Once you know anything that anything becomes unbelievable if only by virtue of the fact you now... know it. You know?

    Will: No.

If Demolition Man were remade today

Huxley: What's wrong? You broke contact.
Spartan: Contact? I didn't even touch you.
Huxley: Don't you want to make love?
Spartan: Is that what you call this? Why don't we just do it the old-fashioned way?
    Huxley: NO!
    Spartan: Whoa! Okay, calm down.
Huxley: Don't tell me to calm down!
Spartan: What's gotten into you? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't me.
Huxley: Physical relations in the way of intercourse are no longer acceptable John Spartan.
Spartan: What? Why the hell not?
Huxley: It's the law, John. And for your information, the very idea that you suggested it makes me feel personally violated.
Spartan: Wait a minute... violated? Huxley what the hell are you accusing me of here?
Huxley: You need to leave, John.
    Spartan: But Huxley.
    Huxley: Get out!
Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.

By the way, that's called satire. Get over it.

What the hell is he going to do with a fifteen year old girl or however old she is? She isn't his responsibility, and he clearly is living a life doused in crime. Better off, I say.
