I'm stuck on the Sephex boss battle - where are the jerk crystals that you have to destroy?

They appear when his HP is reduced to a certain percentage. I can't remember what that is and I'm on my phone in bed so can't check, but I feel like the first one should pop up around 60% health left. Give or take!

i got the crystal status on my peeps at the beginning of the battle and there's no way i can take him out in 8 rounds
