I always thought Bulbasaur was hard mode because he sucks so bad. It's werid. I got my first GameBoy Colour and Pokémon Blue when I was 10, and I can still remember every move my Blastoise had (because you have to start with the Pokémon that is represented by the colour).
I much prefer Bulbasaur to the others, as I love being a dick and using status effects and Leech Seed. Only took Charmander if I wanted a fire dude since he's the only one forever. Took Squirtle when I just wanted something different.
