The Business

Topic: Do you or have you ever been the owner of a business or enterprise, or at least the boss of one? Discuss being the boss. Hell, let's even include virtual businesses (MMOs).

I have just started a new business, and it has so far been very lucrative, ever since Shlup showed a picture of her boobs in Feedback. I looked to capitalize on that exposure, so to speak, and it turned out fairly profitable, with over 120 votes and 3 Ciddies. However, I know she can do better next time and bring in more cash and votes, so I am starting to advertise in my sig.

EDIT: Due to the sheer volume of calls, and the fact that Shlup can't keep up with all of the clients due to her advanced age and resulting dryness issues, Raistlin Pimp Enterprises will hereafter be forced to limit its advertising to just this thread. I have a small business where I sell crafts and pouches, so I guess I'm my own boss in that respect. I sell stuff at work and I've made a decent amount already in the two weeks I've had it open. It's been really nice to see people responding so well to the stuff I make.

I'm going to be minoring in business in college so I can start a family business with my parents. Not entirely sure what kind just yet, but it'd be super if it worked out.

I too, have made money with pictures of Shlup's boobs. But the purchaser was Shlup herself. She's very into herself you know.

I run my own business and have for the past 4 years or so. Only about 2 years doing it full time though. It's half super duper awesome (I get to work in my pajamas!) and half, super duper stressful. The work never stops. If you're not actually doing the work, you're thinking about it, planning things out in your head, dreaming about it. Everything is on you. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Almost everyone in my family (and extended family) owns their own business. Entrepreneurship is kind of expected.

In sixth grade, I "started" Jume Inc. I never really went anywhere with it-- I guess I wanted to sell paper boxes I folded. But it was fun to use that as a copyright on subsequent class projects.

My parents run a automotive repair business if that counts :p

I would like to own my own business eventually, because I don't want to work for anyone other than myself. Unfortunately, my complete lack of drive and ambition prevents me from doing anything of the sort. Maybe I can just steal an already existing business from someone else.

Oh mine, I remembered during my school days we set up some stalls to sell random stuffs. And I will alway randomly give discounts and freebies especially to little kids. Now to think of it, I will most likely give my business away if I ever setup one. :(

Basically the bags are hand woven from discarded/collected plastic packaging material and reused as clutches , bags....

I don't have my own business yet, but I've already started investing some capital so that I can open up my own sandwich shop in four or five years. It is a dream I've had for a while, to be able to serve up sandwiches in any shape or form the customer/I desire.:jess:

I own and manage a florist, though it's gotten so big now I think I'll be paying someone to manage it soon.

If you enjoy having free time, I wouldn't recommend starting a florist.

I'm a scientist, or more specific, a researcher. We do things simpler. We get lots of money from companies to basically do whatever the hell we want, inside a particular field, and only really have to account for our time for about 20 min every week, which being skilled speakers, we can talk our way out of with legitimate problems, whether they really occur or not. The only reason any progress is made is because we get bored and science turns out to be our hobby as well.


Also we have cake. Lot's of it. Because we're awesome.

How much for exclusive rights?

That is not a purchasable option. Shlup requires numerous men (sometimes all at once), which is why she is in this business in the first place.

How much to rent her for a couple days? I have a business trip and I am interested in having entertainment accompany me. Is she cleared for flight out of the country or will I have notify you several weeks in advance so things can be taken care of on your end?

This is unfortunate.

I've managed to speak with the attache of the Canadian Embassy...She can go there and stay with my rents...From there I can arrange a passage to Pakistan.... Food, lodging will be provided for as well as security...However......

Shlup must dance at friends wedding..She must watch all the bollywood films and learn the dance moves... Failure to do so, she will simply be dumped in our neighboring country where the first letter begins with an A and ends with a N
