He's got a certain charm and enigma that Snake lacks. Also, his English voice is more compelling than Snake's. That's a big part of Balthier's charm for me, too - the voice.

Wow, sorry this took longer than expected. I wasn't feeling so good during the last few days, and what's with the down time EoFF had? Anyway, there's been enough votes so let's see the results!
Final Four Results!
In our first match-up, we have the two young'ns, Balthier from Final Fantasy XII and Kilik from the Soul Calibur series. With a commanding 7 to 2 victory, Balthier the sauve sky pirate makes it into the Finals.
Our second match-up features the two older, mature men, Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series, and Auron from Final Fantasy X. Does Auron have enough votes to make this a Final Fantasy exclusive Finals? In a very tight race, it all comes down to a 5-4 victory for the stealthy Solid Snake.

Now here we are, to the long awaited Finals for this long and gruesome tournament. From 64 down to the final 2. Who will come out winning the title of Hottest Guy of Gaming? Will it be Balthier the sky pirate from Final Fantasy XII, or would Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series sneak away with victory? It's up to the voters to decide. This may end up with the final vote to decide a victor.

Not a completely easy choice - but then, the poll's about hotness, not just overall awesomeness or badassery. Though my choice has a fair amount of those too.
My thoughts about the tournament..? Worked pretty well, I think. Nominations, voting, eliminations - got the job done. Not so lively on the 'discussion' front, which is a shame, but that's the fault of the participants rather than the organiser
