I've been recommended to watch Buffy, Mad Men, Breaking Bad and X-Files on Netflix but keep coming up with excuses not to.

This is good news. Either I missed it the first time I checked, or they didn't offer it yet.I saw TOS on Netflix. All of that and TNG should be up there, at least in the US.
Last time I checked. All of them except TOS are currently available on streaming. I have them in my queue.
