Favorite/least favorite NPC Merchants
Some are nice, some are trout, some are just a rip-off. Who are your favorite and least favorite NPC merchants?
Personal favorite is the Male Undead Merchant of the glorious Dark Souls. He has an imaginary pet named Yulia and some very interesting madman dialogues. Proof:
One of my least favorite must be the Chinese arms dealer in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. His voice acting was really annoying.

Not sure about my favourite, but my least favourite are without a doubt all merchant NPCs in Skyrim. They never had any gold so I could sell my stuff to them! I had to run all over the map just to get rid of some spare equipment I found because the poor sods only had 750 gold each! Whoever came up with that trout was an a-hole!Sure you can add mods to give em more gold, but if you're going for a mod-free experience prepare to be frustrated.
Undead Merchant is definitely up there on my favourites. Yulia's his Uchigatana, isn't she?
One of my least favourites is also in Dark Souls. I accidentally hit the Undead Female Merchant when walking through the door for the first time, and she keeps yelling at me.I never have the money for absolution either. And she's the only person in the game who sells Poison Arrows!

). In the YouTube video above, at 1:15-ish, you can clearly see the Merchant petting nothing but air. Also the line "She'll bite your little fingers off" wouldn't make as much sense for a sword as it does for a pet

Edit: Rin from FFX comes to mind as a favorite, although I do have a slight grudge for not giving us stuff for free right before we enter Sin!
Creeper and Mudcrab Merchant are the best NPC merchants. Ever.
I like how you specified "NPC". Apart from Recettear, how many player character merchants are there?

The brothers from shadow hearts2 are my favorite merchants I frappen hate the re4 merchant Cus I gotta mute the tv every time I go shopping. Yes stranger thank you stranger anytime stranger now that's a weapon stranger...... The only thing stranger than his repetitive speech is why the hell is he still alive by his appeared he's obviously part of the gannado and yet he's selling Leon and Ada weapons to kill his own kind. I don't think Salazar and saddler would take this lightly.

Well, This Guy from DQ4 is a merchant and you can spend as much time as you like selling weapons to adventurers at the start of his story as you'd like! But aside from him, Recette is about it. xD
Ramus was a boss.
I love the Undead Merchant because he sounds exactly like Steve.
I also love the merchant(s) in Resident Evil 4, because he's great.
