Honestly, the first book came out in the 90s. The show has been on for three years. At this point, if you can't be too arsed to read the books, I'm really not that arsed about hiding spoilers either. No one makes you read YouTube comments.
Just to be clear, open and unaired book spoilers that have not come to pass in the show yet will not be tolerated in this thread. This thread is for the show, and if you go around spoiling what comes in the show for other people, you're a jerk. Watch the video Freed posted to find out what the cast thinks of you if you spoil things!
Just don't do it!![]()
I wasn't talking to you specifically, more to everyone generally. But you did say that you aren't arsed about hiding spoilers, so I thought I would just clarify. My apologies!
Oh, thank you very much![]()
I just read that Sky Atlantic will be doing a live showing in the UK of the premier, it will be on at exactly the same time here as in the US... that's 2am for those interested.
Don't worry, I'm ready with my spoiler beating stick.![]()
Why is it a spoiler to say that Person X dies when everyone dies? Valar morghulis, my friends.
I think this video is one of the best summations I've seen of the series' appeal. Warning: Spoilers for the first season (like you don't know them already by this point).
Between the Lines: Game of Thrones
Yeah, but how many people were reading the books in the 90s? Exactly.
Book readers and people that only watch the show should be separated into two different people. Nothing worse than a smug-as-all-smurf book reader. Yes, I've read all the books multiple times, but I most definitely am not smug about it. What I wouldn't give to not know what's coming this season......... to experience that for the first time, all over again would be truly magical. But I guess it's nice to see everything come to life.
Someone could spoil who dies later this season, and that wouldn't be a spoiler? Trust me, it's a problem.
Some people find out main characters die and are DETERMINED to spread the same spoilers around, as if the series has been ruined, so the only way to get any further joy from it is to ruin it for other people in the same way. Some twisted logic there.
ive already heard enough spoilers from my boyfriends brother :l
luckely i forgot half of them.
i really hate him for it.
me and my bf were discussing game of thrones somewhere around season 2 when he walked in.
and he was like: '' how far is game of thrones? did he and he already die? and what about her? did she already die?''
he has read the books but he doesnt watch the show..
i wanted to slap him real bad
i am currently reading the books, but i will not go any further then the tv-show will go.
i have witnessedthat reading the books first will ruin the show, like it did with harry potter!
Lots of people here have read the books. They're just not dicks about posting spoilers. :3
