PlayOnline has announced that a maintenance and client update scheduled to run early this evening will push back the latest anticipated update for Final Fantasy XI.
Originally scheduled to be released on February 24, the new wrinkles will instead be made public on the 26th. Included among the new features:
- Several new areas that connect to Dynamis, the "Shrouded Land"
- New aspects to your quests, including the new ability to replay artifact quests, and brand new "escort" quests along with a new avatar quest
- New equipment called "relics"
- Additional storage will be added, as will upgrades in furnishings and decorations for mog houses
This is merely a small list compared to everything in store for FFXI players. Chances are good that there's a lot left of Vana'Diel for everyone to explore.
