• Beta Test Application Site Open for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

Square-Enix has announced that it is now recruiting beta phase testers for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

Legacy status account holders need not apply for the first phase of the beta through the application site, though according to the website they will have to apply for the Playstation 3 beta phase. Although if you applied to be a PS3 beta tester for FFXIV 1.0, you won’t have to apply again as your application will be automatically reconsidered, but you would need to apply to be a tester for the PC version.

Lastly, those who have a Members Code from buying Final Fantasy XIII way back when can enter it to receive priority consideration to be a beta tester.

Anyone who is interested should go apply now. The beta itself will not start until later next month. In the meantime, good luck to all the applicants!

You're guaranteed to get in by phase three, at least Raistlin!

Beta servers are not the final servers, but it will have multiple servers to select from. You will also be able to choose whichever server you want on official release. Specific servers will be optimized for different regions depending on their physical location, but you are not restricted to them.

      Signed up.

I hope this doesn't end up in bitter disappointment.

      So much potential for awesomeness.

      Can't wait til Mid-February!

Also, really interested in the final news about how we'll be directed to servers in Open Beta/Launch. I hope we just drop back on Sarg and can re-connect with our friends and then make any server-change decisions at that time.
