Wait, didn’t we just have one of these? Well yes, but Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn producer Naoki Yoshida has decided to grace us again with another Letter from the Producer as we continue to approach the ever-nearing beta that is supposed to start later this month. One of the new updates is the all-new benchmark screenshot featured above.
According to Yoshi-P, the development team is making the final adjustments to the beta version of FFXIV. A new Letter will be coming out in the near future that will contain the starting date of phase one.
Yoshi-P also offered some information regarding the content of the beta. Just as with the alpha version, phase one of the beta will be limited to the areas around Gridania. But the beta will include some new content, and there will be “plenty” of Full Active Time Events to play around with.
In response to demand from the last Letter, Yoshi-P also included some more screenshots of the character creation for different races. First is the Elezen female:

More information on the upcoming beta will be made available within the next couple of weeks. On February 10, Yoshi-P will be making an international tour to show off FFXIV, and we can expect to hear updates from that. And the day after Yoshi-P returns (he did not specify exactly when that would be), there will be a fifth Live Letter from the Producer, which should contain a lot of juicy details.
