Motomu Toriyama has recently discussed some of the details in regards to the ending of the hotly anticipated Final Fantasy XIII sequel - 'Lightning Returns'.
The game director disclosed that instead of having multiple branch endings like the previous game in the trilogy, the game will have only "one true ending". The reasoning behind this decision perhaps comes from the aim to make this the conclusion to Lightning's story, and to finally close the door.
For fans worrying that the game may be very linear and structured which may affect the replay value, Toriyama commented; "the game is structured so that time is constantly ticking away during gameplay and the world moving and changing with it, meaning that every time you play through you can have a new experience.”
How do you think the saga will end? Are you expecting a happy ending for this fan-favourite heroine? Or do you think that Square-Enix might shock us all with some twists and turns? Either way, this story is about to end and anything could happen...
