Kingdom Hearts fans, rejoice: the first HD collection for the franchise will be making its way to Europe and North America!
Announced in September 2012 with a Japanese release of March 2013, many fans have been worried that the collection would not see release outside of Japan thanks to misinterpretation of an Square Enix statement. Today, Square-Enix has officially put those worries to rest with the announcement of an Autumn 2013 release date in western territories!
As a refresher, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix will include the updated Kingdom Hearts Final Mix (a monumental event for fans; this marks the first time after ten years that a Final Mix has been released outside Japan) and Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories, both fully playable and remastered in glorious HD with trophy support. Additionally, it will include cinematic Theatre Mode cutscenes that retell the story of 358/2 Days, also remastered and fully voiced. This bundle is especially a treat for European fans, who never got the Final Mixes or Re: Chain of Memories.
More news on the western release of the 1.5 collection, including trailers, will proceed in the coming months.
