• New Screenshots for Final Fantasy X-2

Step right up, step right up. It's time! Time for what? You may ask, well, it's time to have a good look at the latest screenshots for the HD remake of Final Fantasy X-2. In a delightful array of colourful pictures we can see our favourite trio of dressphere toting lovelies in all their HD glory. Let me tell you, they're smoooooth. Just take a look for yourself...

    YRP back in flawless position.

The airship flying through a true blue sky

On a mission to save the world from clunky graphics!

Gorgeous locations are made even more so with the HD do-over.

Now we'll be able to see Paine's leathers in full detail...

Nice.... hair there Rikku. Yes, hair.

Yuna, once again deep in thought. Bet she can't wait to fondle HD Tidus!

    The colour is astonishingly beautiful!

And that's the lot! Shame on you Square-Enix for not giving us more, I'd love to have seen the HD Besaid, oh well. We'll have to wait for the release for that, which is still just "2013", no official date yet... But we're patiently waiting (almost.)

I really can only notice the difference on a couple of these. Yuna doesn't look like a possessed paper doll in the non-cut scenes anymore.

You can also go here for higher res screenshots. Sadly, these aren't in 1280x720 either. I wonder why they aren't, the game is definitely going to run at that resolution on the PS3. Maybe these are screenshots from the PSV version.

I also think some of you guys are forgetting how the game actually looked on the PS2. Here are some screenshots I made with an emulator running at the PS2's native resolution, with a window size at roughly 1280x720. I didn't care to measure it precisely, so I just eyeballed it. Maybe after looking at these, you'll more easily notice how much better the game looks now than what it did on PS2 .

Nevermind Yuna's third arm. That's just a deinterlacing artifact that shows up when you take still images. It's not very noticable when you're actually playing.

I hope they are. That'll mean the Vita version is this pretty (which is what I'll play), and the PS3 version will be even prettier.

they look great, but it's not a remake, it's more an HD Remix, basicly an enhanced port...

i am too, the last great Enhanced Port from them was Chrono Trigger DS, unless FFIV Complete Collection on PSP counts... i'm sure they're holding X & X-2 to the same high standard of quality...

Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster is the only HD rerelease I've seen that actually does more than up the resolution. The textures look absolutely fantastic compared to the original PS2 games and so many flat edges have been smoothed out. I'm really impressed by the screenshots I've seen so far.

I really hope the rumor about the US getting the International content ends up being true, but even if it isn't I'll be more than happy with the upgrade.

If they aren't, you can just import the EU version.
