This time around we'll be looking at cosplays featuring the moody protagonist of Final Fantasy VIII. None other than Squall Leonhart!
Much like Yuna, Squall cosplayers have quite a choice of outfits. From his official SeeD uniform to his cameo as Leon in Kingdom Hearts. In most iterations, though, you can generally expect belts and leather in more than copious amounts!
Squall starts off as an introverted, brooding and cold teenager who has a knack habit of pushing away those who care for him. Think withdrawn hormonal teenage angst and you'll be in the right mindset. However, this introversion paves way to his strong sense of duty and commitment and doing what needs to be done. He is the reluctant leader and although his personality comes at the annoyance of his peers - it is that clearheadedness and sense of mind that allows others to trust him unwaiveringly. As the story progresses and his love for Rinoa Heartilly blossoms he eventually becomes more open, social and trusting. This more extroverted version is best portrayed in his appearance as Leon.
With all this in mind let's see how our Squall cosplayers go about capturing these emotions.

AirPirateCid stands to attention as Squall in his SeeD uniform. That scar still looks raw and fresh! I bet Seifer is hiding in the background somewhere.
Dymatrex is certainly looking moody. Is that a look of quiet contemplation on his face or one of "why won't you leave me alone?"
II Squall II brings us a cosplay that's certainly more original than his username! This is Squall's third EX mode outfit from Dissida. This Squall has clearly seen things and is more of a hardened fighter than the vulnerable teenager we started off with.
Kururugi_Suzaku goes for the re-arrangement of Squall's classic look in Dissida. This Squall certainly seems a bit more open, but there's still a hint of reservedness in his eyes.
Ratsukorr brings us classic Squall again. The leather, the furr, the blets and those contemplative eyes. The whole package, ticked off!
Score certainly scores with his Dissida classic Squall cosplay. Giving us an almost sultry pose to lead us on - I think this is a Squall at the end of his journey.
That brings us to the end of this edition. Six, succulent, sexy, sultry... I've run out of words that begin with S... Squall's for you to choose from. Which one is your favourite?
Be sure to leave any questions you'd like pitted to our winning Squall in the comments below!
The next edition will feature... well... it will start and end with a flower.
