• Ever Wondered What a Tetsuya Nomura Batman Would Look Like?

    Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts artist, and all round awesome guy, Tetsuya Nomura has revealed his first design for the DC Comics Variant Play Arts figures. The first one is of course the famous Dark Knight himself, BATMAN! The action figure is part of a new Square Enix Play Arts line, and will be on display at the San Diego Comic Con this weekend.







    This is a pretty crazy looking Batman for sure, there is some definite Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts influence all over that. I think he looks a lot like Final Fantasy VIII's Guardian Force, Diablos! What do you think? Love it or hate it?

    So far there are no further details of price or release date, only that this is the first in a Nomura Batman design line, so with any luck we might see some more of our favourite Batman characters getting a Nomura makeover. Who else in the Batman universe would you like to see all Nomura-d up? I'd love to see a Catwoman and Joker, maybe Nomura can make Robin look cool! Who knows? Stay tuned...

      I can't wait to see Superman with super spikey Cloud hair. Catwoman is going to be NSFW as well.

      Bahamutman. Savior of EoFF, the dark spell knight, King of Dragons. He's the hero EoFF deserves, but not the one it needs right now.

      This isn't really my thing. I much prefer the current actual batman. Then again, it's been a while since last time I was impressed by a Nomura design.

      I wouldn't mind this guy being a major antagonist in a future FF game. Solo, dark and broody.
