• Live Gameplay Footage of Final Fantasy XV

A clip was released to show off the gameplay mechanics and live world for Final Fantasy XV. The video shows off the quality of the living, breathing world as well as the combat mechanics. Check it out!

We are shown int his video how different elevations in the terrain will cause puddles to form and that if you take shelter under ledges or roofs, you'll stay dry. They also show that characters will get wet with the weather change. Once the rain stops, it will dry up with the sun.

The environment will change in the day and night cycle, it will progress to having lights on and off for the massive buildings surrounding the character.

Dodging seems to be an active mechanic in the combat system, as the video shows Noctis dodging Goblins and a Behemoth. Special moves are taken by your party members as well as cooperative moves with them and Noctis. If you have allies nearby you'll be able to pull off these moves.

They have stated that this is 70%-80% done in the mechanics and graphics so when the demo is slated later this year, it will look even better.

More will be showed at Square Enix Presents, and details will also be shown later this year at Jump Fiesta.

Final Fantasy XV will be available on PS4 and Xbox One.

Stunning. I know we've seen this section before, but to see someone actually playing it now...it looks amazing! Those character models as well *_*

So far this game is scrubbing up very well! I was expecting FFXV to look good but not this good!

Changed the link/source to be super sneaky.

Good to see more of the Behemoth battle - interesting that Omnis Lacrima is a soundtrack to it.

I don't have time to watch all of it right now, but I thought I was watching a cut-scene until the guy started moving the camera. That's nuts (the good kind).

      lol at the frog.

I guess we won't see 60fps though . I'm not sure if the PS4 can do that stuff at much more than 30.

The gameplay looks remarkably similar to Kingdom Hearts.

Well I do love me some Kingdom Hearts. I just hope you can switch who you play as in battle rather than having your party be strictly AI like in KH.

Also, his sword popping out of thin air every time he attacks is annoying.

I think the ability to switch weapons mid combo is supposed to be reminiscent of how in Kingdom Hearts you can manipulate your combo branch. By actually using different weapons, I think that the customization is enhanced (even if it looks annoying, though, in that case, you could probably just have it be the same weapon for the entire combo branch).

They've seem to make him a little more "masculine", even a little "rougher". Definitely more real.

Noctis even looks a bit different. God they all have bad hair, but Noctis' might be the worst.

Even so, the game looks phenomenal.

The graphics are good but the combat looks kind of choppy/sluggish. Is that the game's fps? Or maybe just the video? And are they really gonna keep those stupid names? I've played RPG Maker games with better names for their characters than Noctis, Prompto, Ignis, etc.

Did anyone notice that prompto is the only character that doesn't materialize his weapon? He seem to always have it, interesting~

Actually that was boring to me. I'll have to wait until the actual demo comes out to really judge it.

The video was a POS. I think the graphics would be phenomenal in HD.
