The lovely folks at Square Enix have just treated us with a brand new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 2.8! In the trailer, we are presented with in-game footage of Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance in glorious HD, as well as Birth By Sleep 0.2: A Fragmentary Passage. The new graphics in the latter look particularly good, with Aqua's adventure using the new engine that will be the basis for Kingdom Hearts III.
The last segment of the trailer is devoted to Kingdom Hearts χ: Back Cover, the movie version of the recently released smartphone game that takes place at the very beginning of the Kingdom Hearts timeline. We get to hear a lot of cryptic conversations between new, hooded characters called the Foretellers, as well as some dramatic scenes. The film itself looks gorgeous and I can't wait to see what this is all about!
But perhaps the most exciting thing about the trailer is what came at the very end - a release date! Kingdom Hearts 2.8 is coming out worldwide December 2016 for Playstation 4.

Eh, a bit of a waste unless you are a massive Kingdom Hearts fan and/ or want to complete the HD KH games. You could just easy watch the newer movie/ games on Youtube.
Because it's between the games included in the 2.5 release, and KH III. So it's kind of just a number in between
Too bad that 2.5 itself already had the problem of having one part before the first one and also having the 2. Of course you could say 2+0.5 but this would not be the same as with 1.5 as that also would need to be called 2.5 following that way of thinking.
It makes sense if you don't take the fractions literally: so it's not II and a lost half but rather II plus extra stuff. 2.8 is, uh... All the rest of the extra stuff that came after II!

But that is exactly where it is silly because stuff like Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance, yes, even Re:Chain of Memories are big. They are no "main number" like KHI and KHII which is were the 1 and 2 in 1.5 and 2.5 come from but 0.5 = rest no matter what is still stupid. I only call that "making sense" with a very own definition of the one who comes up with this title.
And I did not say "lost half". I used the "0.5" to refer to BBS. Which is why I said it could be okay with this title but not with the other one.
