• Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XV Crossover in the works?

    Don't run over the Chocobos!

Final Fantasy XIV already has a long history of crossing over with other entries in the series. Lightning from the Final Fantasy XIII saga took a day-trip over to Eorzea in a Full Active Time Event (FATE) where you could fight alongside Lightning and recieve gear and weaponry inspired by her; though sadly not including her Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer collection.

Besides FATEs, other Final Fantasies have been represented through classic dungeons and monsters, like Final Fantasy III's Crystal Tower. But now that Stormblood has launched, where next for the MMORPG?

In an interview with Kotaku, Naoki Yoshida, producer and director of FFXIV, all but confirmed a crossover event with FFXV, saying:

"Plans for these are moving forward. The Final Fantasy XV team has settled down on their end. We feel that itís going to be rather hefty in volume in terms of this crossover. Once we are able to get some visual references, some graphics available, and when we decide on timing, weíll make sure to make an official announcement."
Seems like progress has already been made on a FFXV crossover. What are your thoughts with this crossover? Do you think these crossovers benefit both games, or a tranparent promotion event? What parts of FFXV do you think could crossover with FFXIV?

Could we see Noctis's Royal Arms? Or maybe another Moogle Chocobo Carnival? Post your thoughts below!
