• Final Fantasy X Spinoffs confirmed...

Since the release of Final Fantasy X: International in Japan, many have wondered at the possibility of a sequel for many months; however, there have been no official announcements until now.

On May 28, 2002, Mainichi Interactive released information that two new spinoffs of Final Fantasy X are in development after a financial report meeting with Square. Code-named "Yuna Version" and "Rikku Version", these two games take place after the extended ending of Final Fantasy X: International. Not much else is known at the time, as no information regarding what the two versions signify and how the story is driven has been released.

The two games are planned for a release in Japan by the end of this fiscal year.
