• Square announces new Gameboy Advance titles!

In an official announcement Square has given details on their Gameboy Advance lineup for 2002 and 2003. The games to be released are as follows:

    - Final Fantasy Tactics: Winter 2002; Spring 2003.
    - "Seiken Densetsu" sequel: Summer 2003.
    - "Chocobo" sequel: Winter 2002.
    - Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Spring 2003.

The first game has already been announced, but now a firm release date has been given. Final Fantasy Tactics for the Gameboy Advance is set to release sometime in winter. While the game will retain most of the aspects of its Playstation predecessor, gameplay will be tweaked somewhat and because it is portable, a Quicksave feature will be added.

The second and third games on the lineup are sequels to be released on the Gameboy Advance. The true titles of the games are unknown at this time. It is known, however, that the Seiken Densetsu title is being developed by Brownie Brown. Brownie Brown is responsible for the original Seiken Densetsu titles.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is a Gameboy Advance game which can be linked to a Gamecube version of the game. Up to four players can linkup together. While linked to the Gamecube, the Gameboy Advance will display the player's status and data.
