With reference to a previous news update at Eyes on Final Fantasy, here are some additional details concerning the soon to be released Final Fantasy Song Book and CD (by Nobuo Uematsu).

The music CD will contain a wide range of songs dating back to the first Final Fantasy game, right up to the latest installment, Final Fantasy XI. We've also been informed that 'only the best' pieces will be included on the CD, and they will all be receiving a very special makeover - the inclusion of vocal lyrics. On top of that, the CD will contain a brand new (and rearranged) version of Final Fantasy VIII's 'Eyes on Me', which will now be sung by Manami Kiota (in Japanese).

We'll keep you posted if any new details emerge.

According to sources, the long-awaited sequel to FFX will reach European shores on February 20th, 2004. However, as we've come to expect from developers, the release date may be pushed back if anything unexpected happens between now and February. The game will contain English voice-overs, and will also contain subtitles in French and German (etc) for our non-English speaking European friends. Square-Enix may be removing the usual, ugly black PAL bars from the game, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
