Remember this nifty story about a blacksmith making a Buster Sword? Well the same guys have now made a replica of the iconic Gunblade from Final Fantasy VIII.

Reddit user Teodor_Van_Bo uploaded his photographs from the first ever Russian Comic Con in this thread here (check it out, some pretty dazzling cosplay can be found!) My favourite though has to be this Sephiroth cosplay, which I'm sure we can all agree is probably the most true to game representation. Just stunning!

It's FanArt Friday! Welcome to another edition of Final Fantasy Fan Art Showcase of the Week, where we show the best of the best from DeviantArt! Proto has run this show for 87 weeks now, so I clearly have some big shoes to fill, but I'll do my best. I hope you send him a massive thanks for his efforts over that time, and thankfully he'll be continuing working with the DeviantArt EyesonFF group. Are you watching the group? I hope so!
This week will see one other minor change aside from the host, and that is the addition of Cosplay of the Week. Each week we'll be showing off one of the best Cosplays we can find around DeviantArt. I have to say, this week's one is pretty freakin' awesome.

Today we find out the lonely tale of one of those ancient Greek mythological beings, everyone's favourite gorgon... Tromell? (He totally has snake hair)
Alongside that, we have glimpses of the past and shocking surprise proposals! The Shaunas, of course, continue to ask the important questions: who would be the best man at this wedding?

Gutsco had the nerve to call us a twit, so we bravely (foolishly?) wade through lava to obtain our revenge before he turns into the dorkiest dragon ever, named Salamander. Boss battle? You bet! We also pay another visit to the Dwarves who have one or two presents for us.

After a five week hiatus, Shauna and Mr. Shauna return to form with another installment of Let's Play FFX HD. After 5 minutes of explaining the hiatus, Yuna is kidnapped, we get to ogle some man butt, and fight a treasure chest, of all things! What exciting antics you've surely missed while we've been gone!

Deep in the Dwarven Hollows we turn ourselves into frogs to fit into a small underwater hole and encounter the rogue who has been hounding the Dwarves. Smells like a boss battle? You bet! However things take a turn for the spooky as a mysterious shadow stalks our every step...

Hello! Welcome to another edition of Final Fantasy Fan Art Showcase of the Week! We have some great art to share. Also a quick announcement to make regarding this month's fan art contest. Since there has been no entries, there will be no voting for a winning fan art, so for the contest for next month will be needing two winners, so if anyone has a suggestion for a theme for next month's contest, that would be much appreciated! Now let's take a look at this week's showcase.

As we've heard, Final Fantasy XV will have an all-male party. Some people have taken offense to this. Although on my own reflection of this news, that doesn稚 seem to bother me. Here, in convenient list form, is why.

It's not exactly a secret that Eyes on Final Fantasy has some great artists, and when I saw this drawing from FFFFsephychibi of Behemoth and Noctis of Final Fantasy XV, I wanted to give it a spot pride of place on the frontsite. Here are the two images (a before and after picture) and a quick Q and A about it! Enjoy, and don't forget to leave a comment!

At the moment, there is an awesome looking Kickstarter page called "Eminence: Xander's Tales", It is an action adventure game directly inspired by Triple Triad. Here's a look at the Kickstarter video for this project:
I've had a chance to have a Q&A session with Aeterna Studios about the project.

In true Final Fantasy style we avoid the main quest and instead bugger off to the town of Gysahl, meeting sheep and chocobos and acquiring series staple Gysahl Greens to summon forth the largest chocobo of all. More high sea adventures and trips to the Molten Cave and the ruined Castle Argus also feature.

After making our way to the top of the Tower of Owen only the dastardly Medusa stands in our way! Can we overcome this deadly foe and what are Desch's plans? We also visit the home of the Dwarves, whose Horn of Ice has been stolen by the rogue Gutsco!
