Getting a head start on celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Final Fantasy Franchise next year, Square Enix has opened a site dedicated to it at http://www.finalfantasy.jp/30th/. Unfortunately, the site is entirely in Japanese, so unless you plan on brushing up on your Nihongo, then the most you'll get out of it is watching the promo video and listening to the sweet tunes that play in the background. There's no word yet (in English anyway) on what they plan on doing to celebrate the big 3-0, or if they plan on celebrating it world wide (they may wait for the western release anniversary to do that, however, that won't be until 2020). ...

According to Amazon's UK site, Square Enix will release two collector box sets for the PC featuring Final Fantasy III and IV, and another for Final Fantasy VII and VIII. The bundles will go for £19.99 and be available for shipment to the US. There is little information on what each bundle contains, outside of the manuals and discs. Oddly, the games still have to be downloaded, which would seem to make getting a Steam account just as convenient. No word yet on whether there will be more to the bundles. Currently the game is only listed on the UK site and is scheduled for release on May 27, 2016. More information will be made available as it's released.
