Square Enix have now released an 8 minute game play video from upcoming title 'Lightning Returns'. Game Design Director, Yuji Abe walks us through the selected gameplay for the hunt of the Chocobo Eater. During the course of the video, we get to see dangerous monsters and vast epic landscapes. Take a look for yourselves!

The video shows the Wildlands, which is one of the four zones available to the player. It also gives us a glimpse at the battles with the new talents associated with those outfits we've heard so much about. It shows those different outfits as well as the customizable menus. Of course they let us look at the extensive customization menus available. The screenshot shows the full color customization you can give each piece of armor. Of course take a gander at the video to see it in action. The goal is to make it feel more you, your character. The girl who liked dolly dress ups in me is pleased.

The video also shows combat in all its shining glory. When fighting the elusive Chocobo Eater, you'll see Lightning switch to her different skills on the fly. You will also notice the guard and dodge actions that can be taken during battle making the battles more action based. Overclock is shown in this video as well. It is a new mechanic that slows time down. The battle is finished with a special attack. This shows Lightning switching between all three of her selected classes as she does massive damage

Lightning Returns Comes out Feburary 11th 2014. Be on the look out! What do you think about this gameplay video? Are you actually liking the customization now?

Personally, I don't think the game looks all that bad. It certainly looks like we'll be having lots of equipment and customising to play with, as well as towns and NPCs and some nice visuals and areas to explore, which should please the RPG fans among us.
