Frioniel | |
Personality-lacking main character. Orphaned as a little kid he was adopted by the parents of Maria and Leon. Frioniel is one of the young kids thrust into this struggle for freedom. He just...looks cool, man. Fighters forever! w00t! (or w0t0, or whatever...) |
Maria | |
Maria is the main female charcter of the game. Therefore, we must assume that she is one or all of the following: freespirited, strong-willed, smart, and beautiful. Bloody video game stereotypes... |
Guy | |
Just look at him! He's Guy! Doesn't he just LOOK like his name is Guy? "Yo, I'm a big tuff Guy....and my name is Guy. *scratch*" There's this security-type guy at my school named Guy. He's always telling people to go to class. I make fun of him. Heh. Again, Square didn't decide that this main character needed much of a personality other than being friends with the other main characters. |
Minh | |
Minh, Queen Hilda's Magician, is a really cool character. You get him at the beginning of the game, and he's this big cool White Mage-type dude. He's helpful major when you go out looking for Mythril, and later helps you in a much more important way... |
Josef | |
I always thought that Josef just plain rocked. I guess it's because, when he joins the party, he's at a high Barefist level (my Guy was higher, though...but I level up WAY too much), and I LOVE Monks. They're the coolest. At any rate, Josef is actually the first Final Fantasy character to...well, I'll let you find out for yourself. |
Gordon | |
Gordon is Scott's brother and prince of that Kashuon Castle, and I think you can find him early in the game fretting about how cowardly he is. In Final Fantasy IIj, there is no useless character. Given the proper opportunity, every party member can be your coolest guy. But there will always be guys like Gordon, who...suck. I actually got him a nice Spear (Flame, I think) in Mysidia and leveled him up until he was an awesome character, but...I kind of regret it. Heh. |
Layla | |
Layla is the saucy leader of the Sexy Pirates. Okay...that's not what they're called...but they could be. Heh heh, maybe not. *spends too much time playing video games and checking out the female characters* She joins the party after finding out that you share a common goal. Ol' Layla's a helpful one indeed. She's got Thunder spells (perfect for giving those waters monsters a little shock treatment. >=] *evil*) |
Richard | |
Hey kids! Here's another Final Fantasy First! Richard is the first appearance of the Dragoon in an FF game. :oD Rich is the last surviving Dragoon in the world, and wouldn't ya know it! He got swallowed by our old pal Leviathan. *smacks head* >_< (Might I point out that the inside of Leviathan looks NOTHING like the inside of any sea animal should. The map designers at Square must have had some PRETTY funky Biology classes...) Eventually he will join your quest, but some might say he should have stayed in the Monster's belly... *does not spoil* |
Lionheart | |
Despite the fact that he had a really crappy character named after him in FF8, Maria's brother is the coolest character in this game. He disappears at the beginning of the game, only to come back and supply FFIIj with a really cool plot twist. Okay...not a REALLY cool one...but a cool one. Plus he just LOOKS cool. *rocks out...for some reason* |
