    According to <a href="http://www.rpgfan.com/news/2005/1564.html">RPGFan</a>, information on the Special Edition DVD of the awaited Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children seems extremely promising. North American consumers don't jump for it yet, it may only be available in Japan.<br><br>Tsutaya (A Japanese online store) is already booking and releasing information on the product, including the price. The price (converted to USD) points out to a whopping $274.83. One of the highest priced Special Edition DVDs ever made.     Square-Enix Japan reports that Final Fantasy XI (The first Final Fantasy title to hit the Microsoft Xbox) is at 55%.     Since E3 began, rumors surfaced aboutr the game 'Final Fantasy XII' being released on the upcoming Sony Playstation 3 instead of the previously planned PS2.     Final Fantasy may now jump onto yet another console, as reported by <a href="http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/05/16/news_6124746.html">Gamespot</a>, <a href="http://palgn.com.au/article.php?id=2224">Palgn</a>, and <a href="http://xbox.advancedmn.com/article.php?artid=4783">Xbox Advanced</a>. According to the sites mentioned, Square-Enix is willing to take full advantage of the high-definition graphics and Xbox Live. Not much news has been released yet on the issue, but we will keep you posted.     According to <a href="http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/05/12/news_6124327.html">Gamespot</a>, Square-Enix is making an international release on September 14th of this year for the highly anticipated sequel to Final Fantasy VII. Earlier reports by various sites did say that Square may have been pondering that idea, although no reliable sources to back it up. <a href="http://games.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/05/13/0445257&from=rss">Slashdot</a>, and <a href="http://psp.ign.com/articles/612/612434p1.html">IGN</a> are also supporting the news about the worldwide release. There has been no mention of Europe as of yet, nor has there been any news on if Advent Children will be released onto UMD Format for the PSP.     Following the news article concerning the release of Final Fantasy music titles from Final Fantasies I-XI being released in America, <a href="http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=8662">GamesIndustry</a> reports that the European Offices of Square-Enix have been in discussions with Apple Europe to bring the soundtracks onto the UK's iTunes site. To date, only the OST to The Spirits Within is available throughout Europe.     According to Advent Children's Producer Tetsuya Nomura, Advent Children is slated for release in Japan on September 14th for a price of 4,800 Yen. The Special Edition of the DVD will also be released on the same date. Character rendering is complete, and voice-over work should be completed sometime this month with synching beginning in June.     A recent interview from <a href="http://www.gamesindustry.biz/">www.gamesindustry.biz</a> concerning Final Fantasy: Advent Children has revealed some much needed information to put some rumors to rest.<br> First of all, the length of the film, which was first planned to be 20 to 30 minutes, has now extended to 70 minutes. Something they were not planning. In their own words ' we set out to create a collection of clips more than a feature film'. <br> Also, the original staff of FFVII working on Advent Children include: Mr Kitase (Producer), Mr Nomura (Director), Mr Nojima (Script Writer) and also Mr Naora (Art Director).<br> And to my disappointment about the <a href="http://www.7up.com/">www.1up.com</a> release date for Advent Children, a fixed date has not been set.     The Chocobo song and the spikey haired snowboarder are back! According to <a href="http://www.gamespot.com/">Gamespot</a>, Square-Enix has been planning the release another cellphone game related to Final Fantasy. It is not yet known whether or not the game will be released in North America or Europe, or which type of cellphone it can be played on. Although the graphics aren't all that fantastic, the speed of frames in clocked at approximately 15 frames per second. The game is apparently similar to the FF:VII PS and PC version with the obstructive moogles and balloons to give any avid Final Fantasy player a run for his money... gil.     According to Tetsuya Nomura’s site, Advent Children will be pushed again, making the ‘first quarter of 2005’ obsolete. However, it is for the best.     The wheel for characters on the Japanese Square-Enix site for much anticipated Final Fantasy: Advent Children has been updated. On the wheel, which already consists of revered characters such as Cloud, Tifa, Sephiroth, and Barrett, is now home to Marlene, Cid, Yuffie, Reno, Rude, Zack, and Denzel.
