Square Enix released the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Demo! Run, don't walk to try it out! Rebirth is the second part of the final fantasy VII remake. The demo will be two parts, the second part to be released later with an update. The first part is available now! You can find it in the PlayStation store!
Playstation's State of Play went into a lot of detail about what to expect in Rebirth. It has a lot of spoilers though so check it out if you want to see thing like maps, minigames, the skill tree, and all the lovely composed songs we will see in the game.

Manabu Daishima, 45, a graphic designer for Square Enix passed away on August 8, 2016 while diving off the coast of the Shizuoku Prefecture on the southwest coast of Japan. He did work on such titles as monster designs for Romancing SaGa, field graphics for Chrono Trigger, battle effect graphics for Parasite Eve, 3D map and background design for Final Fantasy XII and Dirge of Cerebus: Final Fantasy VII, and world graphic design for Secret of Mana.

According to the latest issue of Game Informer, the remake of Final Fantasy VII won't only be released in episodic form, but each one will be the size of a full game, comparable in size to each Final Fantasy XIII game. According to producer Yoshinori Kitase, "It will essentially be a full scale game for each part of the multi-part series. In XIII, each installment told the story from a different angle. It was kind of like approaching an unknown territory in a sense. Whereas with Final Fantasy VII Remake, we already have a preexisting story, so it wouldn't really make sense if that isn't encompassed in a multi-part series... So if we're just looking at each of these parts, one part should be on par with the scale of one Final Fantasy XIII game."

Well, we knew it would be coming, as we all know Cloud is in Super Smash Bros. 4. Cloud, as well as Corrin and Bayonetta, are in development and their release date is still to be determined. It's likely it will be after the next wave of amiibo (as seen in the video below) that are set to be released on March 18, 2016, so don't camp outside of your favorite game store just yet.

Sony kicked off its 2015 PlayStation Experience showcase with what looks like the first gameplay footage of the Final Fantasy VII Remake for the PlayStation 4! We see the AVALANCHE team featuring Barret, Biggs, Wedge and Jessie on the opening bombing mission. Not only do we see Barret's doubts about Cloud and some gameplay footage of Cloud exploring Midgar but we also see the group in battle with Shinra soldiers and Guard Scorpion.
