Story: Bringing in new bosses that are supposed to be very powerful must have seemed like a good idea but, after opening a fresh can of whoop-ass on Sephiroth in the first game, it seemed as though a recently expired can would do on these new characters. It was fun to be able see the world of FFVII again. Bringing in new characters but not providing a detail back story to those characters was a little cold. Having to save the world from Vincent himself in a way was a great idea. I loved finding out a more detailed reason as to why Hojo experimented on Vincent. Also the return of Hojo himself was a great surprise. |

Characters: Bringing an almost completely new cast of characters instead of incorporating more of the old ones was a bit cold, especially after Advent Children. I was looking for how the original characters were doing. Not just Vincent and Reeve (Cait Sith to those of you who don't remember). Not providing a detailed back story to the new characters so that we could understand them much more fully was even colder. |

Controls: Jumping, attacking and shooting was easy to master, but that damned camera. It was the worst part about the game. It was unbelievably hard to shoot and have to turn around using the camera and keep shooting. |

Visual: Overall I thought the graphics to be a step up from Final Fantasy X's but lacked any real detail in the locations that you were in. The maps seemed boring and gray, lacking the colour normally associated with most FF's. The locations usually looked the same; inside buildings or outside at night. The only day time map was a bland valley mountain map. They could have done more with color considering the beauty of the maps in the first game. Also, changing how a boss's weapons look in the middle of a scene and then switching them back and forth multiple times as annoying. Like we wouldn't notice. |

Audio: The voice acting was great for Vincent and the rest of the characters. Although Cait Sith's voice is damn annoying. Map music was great and it was nice to hear each bullet hit the ground as it was fired. |

Overall: The game was fun, and it was nice to be able to play Vincent and shoot things, but they could have done more with accessorizing the weapon and character with armour and the like. But, life goes on. |

Avoiding plot points, this is just to talk about the gameplay of the many, many minigames and how they were worked into FFVII.

This is the hardest minigame I've ever played in a FF game and I think I will actually have to give up on it so fast. Who thought analog sticks on a rhythm
