The day has finally come. The Chrono Trigger-like nostalgic adventure called
Ikeniye to Yuki no Setsuna released in Japan today, with both the PS4 and PS Vita versions rating 32/40 in
Famitsu, with a fair 8 given by all four reviewers. What did they like about the game?
Well, the evalutation was
pretty much what we all expected. The game has a nostalgic feel to it, with a gut-wrenching story, a nice atmospheric soundtrack and great visuals. In many ways, it seems like this is the long-awaited return of the PSX era RPG. And this is both good and bad, as all four revieweres were very critical of the game for not bringing anything new into the formula and relying only on what made this genre so popular before. It's as if the creators were doing everything they possibly could to play it safe and pander to their base. Also, the PS4 and PSVita versions are identical, which means the PS Vita version sadly
