| Roles | |
| Commando | Attacks with physical-based attacks or non-element magic. Able to perform "finishers" to enemies leaving stagger mode. When an AI ally is a commando, he or she will randomly target an opponent. |
| Ravager | Attacks with element based magic or element based physical attacks, which boosts chains and boost enemies into stagger mode quicker. When an AI ally is a ravager he or she will target whomever you are targeting. |
| Medic | Medics heal your party's HP and cure them of negative status effects. When an AI ally is a medic, he or she will heal your allies. |
| Synergist | The Synergist is the "Green Mage" of Final Fantasy XIII and will cast buffs on the party. When an AI controlled ally is a Synergist he or she will cast buffs starting on the user control player, then to the other AI player, then to him or herself. |
| Saboteur | The Saboteur can cast Debuffs on the opponents and can remove positive statuses from the enemies. When an AI controlled all is a Saboteur her or she will begin by Debuffing whoever you are targeting. |
| Sentinel | The Sentinel is the defensive character. Capable of using several guard, provoking, and counter based attack and with passive abilities that upgrades his or her defense. |
